Bogdana Cârstea: Inventors
As part of the Tesliarium portal project, dedicated to marking the 170th anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s birth, we present the poem “Inventors” by Bogdana Cârstea.
The poem explores the distinctive nature of the inventive spirit — people whose ideas are often misunderstood by those around them, yet who, through imagination, courage, and an unceasing need to create, continue to push the boundaries of what is possible. The author sees the inventor not only as a creator of new things, but as someone who constantly reshapes their own inner world. In this continuous process of growth, we can also recognize Tesla’s creative principle: the ability to imagine what does not yet exist and to keep surpassing the limits of one’s own vision.
A lot of people call them crazy
Because they don't have genius
They are not brilliant in imagination.
They keep inventing things
That are proved to be great
But the inventors are even greater
Because they keep reinventing themselves
As spirits that are always in evolution.
